| Responsibilities: |
Reporting to the Director of Circulation and Access Services:
•Work evening and weekend shifts (shifts generally start at 3:30 and end at 10:30 pm on weekdays during the semester)
•Oversee all circulation operations and provide public service at the circulation desk including resolving patron disputes.
•Oversee stack maintenance, shelving, and book searches
•Oversee the fines collections operations
•In cooperation with the daytime Assistant to the Librarian, supervise,
train and schedule full time and student circulation staff
•In cooperation with the daytime Assistant to the Librarian, manage
staff work schedules, including circulation desk and vacation schedules
•In cooperation with the daytime Assistant to the Librarian, manage budget for student workers
•Compile and maintain statistical reports.
•Use and troubleshoot Aleph online circulation system
•Serve as liaison to consortium libraries in matters related to circulation
•Perform other duties as assigned

| Minimum Qualifications: |
•2-3 years experience in library public services with supervisory experience
•High degree of computer literacy, including the use of automated library systems
•Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
•Excellent written and oral communication skills
•Ability to discern problems and initiate appropriate actions toward resolutions
•Willingness to work evenings and weekends and to modify schedule during academic year and breaks
